Fadi Issa
Academic Lead for Research Funding
As the Academic Lead for Research Funding, Professor Fadi Issa provides leadership support to the Head and Associate Heads of Division in areas related to funding for the Division’s research activity. Responsibilities include supporting selection of candidates for external funding opportunities and internal research funding awards, developing strategy and processes, and ensuring appropriate leadership and governance in the research funding space.
Fadi is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Burns Surgeon and holds the Chair of Transplantation in the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences. His research interests are in how the immune system can be manipulated to treat immune-mediated diseases such as transplant rejection and autoimmunity.
