Richard Harrington

Associate Director Graduate Entry Medicine

I have been involved with the Graduate-entry Medicine Course for some years, initially as GP tutor to one of the early intakes and have taken a close interest in GEM students ever since. In my current role as Associate Director I work closely with the GEM Director and in particular oversee the 1st year clinical placements across ten GP practices and four local education providers [district general hospitals]. I contribute to clinical problems seminars and behavioural sciences teaching and the work of various committees. I am a lecturer in medicine at Pembroke College. Formerly a GP partner in Thame from 1990 to 2022 I continue to work clinically as a locum GP.
