History and archives of Oxford Medical Alumni
Since 1884, Oxford medical alumni have come together to support each other, led by an exceptionally committed team.
Over time to stay connected, the way the Medical alumni interact with each other and the School has evolved. Such as an initial transition from Oxford Graduate Medical Club to Oxford Medical Alumni in 1999 and the integration of other activities such as the Oxford Medical Lecture Club.
As well as promoting different initiatives such as the Oxford Medicine Magazine, reunions, etc different groups have over the years generated a considerable amount of archive materials from year group intake photographs to copies of student gazettes.
The general archive of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is currently under-review to enable its better accessibility, and we hope to soon update you on how as Alumni you can enquire about the archive content.
There are several secondary associated archives which we invite you to review, alongside articles on some of our historic alumni: Sir Roger Bannister and Sir Peter Radcliffe.
