Senior Research Fellow in Musculoskeletal Tissue Biology
- Arthritis UK Bridging Fellow
Jolet is an Arthritis UK Fellow with an interest in musculoskeletal tissue biology. Jolet leads and collaborates on different projects on osteoarthritis which aim to characterise soft joint tissues to improve our understanding of their role in this disease.
As part of Sarah Snelling’s team, Jolet has been involved in several projects that aim to characterise musculoskeletal tissues in health and disease, including tendons and ligaments. Specifically, she has developed and executed several laboratory methods for single nucleus RNA sequencing of soft musculoskeletal tissues for atlassing efforts that are part of the Human Cell Atlas initiative.
Jolet’s background includes degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSc (Hons), Utrecht University), Pharmacology (MSc, University of Oxford), and Molecular and Cellular Medicine (DPhil, University of Oxford). Throughout her degrees and postdoctoral project, she has focussed on understanding inflammatory and fibrotic mechanisms in soft tissues.
