Seventy-one life scientists in 23 countries have been elected as EMBO Members, a lifelong honour that recognizes research excellence and exceptional achievements. This year’s cohort consists of 60 EMBO Members in member states of the EMBC, the intergovernmental organization that funds the main EMBO Programmes and activities, and 11 EMBO Associate Members in countries outside Europe. The new members become part of a global community of more than 2,200 life scientists.
Many congratulations to Professor Elena Seiradake (Department of Biochemistry), Professor Emma Slack (Dunn School of Pathology) and Professor Kevin Foster (Dunn School of Pathology) who have been elected in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the life sciences.
