Writing a transfer report - two part online course

This interactive online MSD Skills training course complements 'Transfer of status' and is most suitable for first-year DPhil students in their second or third term who are preparing to write their transfer report. First term DPhil students may find many of the exercises are not yet helpful. Part 1 has to be completed in Canvas before booking links for the optional live sessions are made available.
Preparation for thesis submission and a successful final viva , online
Tuesday, 04 November 2025, 10am to 12.30pm
This interactive online MSD Skills training course is most suitable for those in their third or fourth year of their DPhil preparing for their viva, with focuse on two main points. Part 1 - For those who haven’t submitted their theses or appointed their examiners. Part 2 – For those who are doing final prep for their vivas. (after the 15’ break). NOT for transfer viva or MSc taught student.

This 1.5 hour workshops is aimed at MSD DPhil research students and will provide clear guidance and advice as how to successfully prepare and complete the process of Confirmation of Status.
