- Our research programme in cardiovascular disease incorporates both single gene and polygenic disease genetics. It has outstanding clinical trials and epidemiology expertise and has state-of-the-art imaging expertise and facilities. Particularly notable is the integration of molecular science, epidemiology and physiology, bringing together scientists with interests in the understanding of cardiac and vascular biology at both the molecular level, the level of the whole organism and in populations.
- Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism
- Diabetes or metabolic disease will constitute one of the most important health care issues worldwide over the next five to ten years. Our contribution to research in this significant field has been reinforced by the creation of the Oxford Centre for Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM).
