Martin Kerr

Research Facilitator- Industry and Patient Organisations

I joined the Business Development team in October 2016 and am the point of contact for EIT Health, the MRC Proximity to Discovery (P2D) scheme, and the Oxford Rare Disease Initiative.

I obtained a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Glasgow before spending four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. From 2007 I was a senior scientist and laboratory manager in the Department of Oncology, University of Oxford, working in the field of DNA damage and repair signalling, with an emphasis on radiosensitising drugs for cancer treatment.
