Martin Kerr

Industry Partnerships Manager

I joined the Business Development team in October 2016 and am the university’s point of contact for enquiries about the MRC Proximity to Discovery (P2D) scheme and EIT Health, alongside my role in establishing academic-industry partnerships.

I obtained a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Glasgow before spending four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Matthew Freeman. Between 2007 and 2016 I was a senior scientist and laboratory manager in the Department of Oncology, University of Oxford, working in the field of DNA damage and repair signalling.
