Oxford University has licences for two plagiarism screening and awareness tools supplied by Turnitin:
- Turnitin - to screen the work of registered Oxford students
- iThenticate - to screen the work of prospective students, and that of academics and researchers prior to publication
IT Services would like your help. Please complete a survey on plagiarism screening and awareness tools you use, including Turnitin and iThenticate.
The survey is available here:
The aim of the survey is to find out why (or why not), and how staff at Oxford currently use plagiarism screening tools, and to identify current and future requirements.
Who can complete the survey
All staff, whether or not you have a teaching role, and whether or not you currently use Turnitin (and/or iThenticate), or other such tools.
Responses will be treated in confidence
Your responses will be treated in confidence. You don’t need to supply any personal information unless you wish to enter the prize draw or would like to take part in further requirements gathering interviews.
Completing the survey
The survey consists of several sections and should take from 5 to 15 minutes to complete, depending on how much you have to tell us about the plagiarism tools you use. If you are unable to complete the survey in one sitting, click ‘Finish later’ at the bottom of any screen. You will be given a unique URL, which will enable you to continue with the survey where you left off.
Chance to participate in an interview, and enter the draw for an Amazon voucher
At the end of the survey, you will have the option to contribute further to this review by participating in an interview. You can also enter a draw for one of four £25 Amazon vouchers.
The survey will close at 6pm on Friday 29 September 2017.
