RCUK-funded researchers are reminded that Oxford’s policy for our RCUK block grant changed in August and means we are no longer able to pay Article Processing Charges (APCs) for hybrid (subscription-based) journals. Authors of these articles should use the 'Green' route to open access, regardless of journal embargo length. For fully open access journals (listed in doaj.org) authors can apply for APC costs while RCUK funds are still available; please check with the APC team first.

Important message for RCUK-funded authors still awaiting acceptance for articles submitted to FULLY OPEN ACCESS journals (listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals - DOAJ https://doaj.org/) before 21st August 2017: please contact the APC team (apc@bodleian.ox.ac.uk) as soon as possible so that block grant money can be reserved for Article Processing Charges while funds remain.

Oxford’s new policy for RCUK open access block grant is on the Open Access Oxford website.
