Are you a science postdoc or research student thinking about a career in writing or publishing? Would you like to get hands-on practical experience in professional editing, writing and/or social media marketing?

The Oxford and Cambridge University Careers Services are launching a joint blog for Early Career Researchers, a component of which will build on the highly-popular Careers Insight magazine with articles on transitioning beyond academia and how to get such jobs.

We want to offer practical advice by interviewing Oxbridge graduates who have moved into industry, policy or other fields, and by sharing employer perspectives on what they are looking for when recruiting researchers.

To do this, we are looking for motivated editors, bloggers and social media enthusiasts who would enjoy using their passion for writing, tweeting or networking for professional purposes while gaining valuable experience to boost their CV.

If you are interested, please email rachel.bray@careers.ox.ac.uk  with brief details of your research area, current role or year of study, the skills you can offer and those you would like to develop.
