Looking for a convenient way to gain valuable industry experience within a research department?

Oxford University Clinical Academic School (OUCAGS) have re-opened applications for a 3rd year or Post-Graduate student to join them for a five day data analysis micro-internship in ninth week.

Micro-internships are convenient, short-term work placements offered exclusively to Oxford students. Each placement presents a specific, cohesive work project to be tackled: one which will develop your professional skills, enhance your CV, and make an impact on your host organisation.  Last term 91% of micro-internship participants felt their placement contributed towards their career development, with 97% of participants saying they would recommend the programme to a friend.

At OUCAGS you will be working collaboratively with experienced researcher to analyse data for a project to trace Clinical DPhil career paths captured in a longitudinal study (2013-2018) amongst clinical doctoral students at Oxford. The project aim is to understand why there is a 'leaky pipeline' of clinical academics and what can be done to support people in pursuing this career. This placement offers the opportunity to analyse qualitative data, become acquainted with the career challenges facing clinical academics, and present your findings to the OUCAGS team, including any implications for their practice.

This micro-internship is perfect for any post-graduates looking to gain valuable industry experience within a few days, without impacting on your studies. All applications should be made via CareerConnect and short-listed candidates will be invited to OUCAGS offices for a short interview.
