Course Aim

This course will help participants to:

  1. Structure their transfer report according to standard scientific principles.
  2. Write clearly, concisely, and accurately about their research.
  3. Adopt an appropriate English style for their transfer report.
  4. Proofread their report for correctness and consistency.

Course Content

  1. Planning your report - the key sections; adapting the structure to different kinds of research.
  2. Principles of effective writing - sentences, paragraphs, and words.
  3. Refining your style - how to be formal without being elaborate.
  4. Proofreading techniques, common errors of scientific English.
