Kremlin joined the Centre on Population Approaches for Non-Communicable Disease Prevention (CPNP) in 2009 to work on the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and associated risk factors. The CPNP was awarded the status of World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre on Population Approaches for Non-Communicable Disease Prevention in 2013 and Kremlin is the Co-Director of the Collaborating Centre. He is also the Course Director for the Short course on prevention strategies for non-communicable diseases organised, on a regular basis, by the Univiersity.
Kremlin completed his PhD at the University of Oxford on quantifying the impact of policies addressing sustainable healthy diets. Kremlin graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and completed his Masters in Global Health Science from the University of Oxford.
Other than cardiovascular disease his research interests include multi-sectoral approaches to non-communicable disease prevention, environmental sustainability and social determinants of health.
