Dr Claire Bloomfield CEO |
Claire is a senior research management professional, with experience of working both directly as an academic researcher and also a senior research She obtained her Doctorate in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, and held research fellowships in Oxford and the United States before moving into a career as a research management professional. Claire then worked for the UK Medical Research Council, before returning to the University of Oxford, to establish the CRUK Oxford Centre. The Centre was a new type of entity for the University, being a virtual centre with the mission to facilitate research across a variety of disciplines and different Departmental structures to enhance cancer research activity at the University and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Claire delivered a range of high-profile multidisciplinary and pan-Divisional grant initiatives for the University (with a combined value of over £250m), and most recently was focused on early detection for cancer and the use of AI for health care. |

Dr Fergus Gleeson CMO |
Fergus Gleeson is Head of Academic Radiology in Oxford and leads the Oxford Imaging Trials Unit with a joint NHS and University appointment. He has published over 200 peer review papers, been Editor of the British Journal of Radiology, awarded the Barclay medal from the British Institute of Radiology, and the Roentgen Professor by the Royal College of Radiologists, and was previously a member of Council of the Royal College of Radiologists and Divisional Director for the Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT, and is President-Elect of the European Society of Thoracic Imaging. He has extensive experience in image and reporting quality control, and is the medical lead for Alliance Medical PET-CT. He has been the CI for multiple UK multicentre trials and is currently the CI for IDEAL, the only prospective multicentre AI Imaging trial in the UK. |

CTO Jim Davies Lead Data Scientist |
Jim Davies is Professor of Software Engineering and Director of the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Health Data Science. He is leading the development of data standards and infrastructure for clinical and laboratory data across a network of NIHR Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs), as part of the NIHR Health Informatics Collaborative. His research is focussed upon the development of new model- and metadata-driven techniques for big data engineering: techniques that support the automatic generation and configuration of software, and the automatic management and processing of data, based upon precise, abstract descriptions of structure, process, and intended interpretation. This work has been informed by practical, large-scale application in clinical research, healthcare delivery, and electronic governance. |

CCO: Professor Sir Michael Brady |
Sir Michael joined Oxford in 1985 from MIT, where he was co-Director of the AI Laboratory. From 1986-2000 he was co-Editor of the leading journal Artificial Intelligence. From robotics in the early 1990s to medical image analysis and for his work on AI-based image analysis of cancer he was awarded multiple accolades, served as Deputy Chairman of Oxford Instruments, founded 10 medical technology companies and was Knighted for services to Engineering Science |

Mike Parker Chief Ethicist |
Professor of Bioethics and Director of the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities, Michael’s research interests are in the ethics of collaborative global health research, the uses of data-science in population health, and the clinical uses of genomics.
