Three of the University's scientists have been elected to the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences for their contribution to biomedical and health research, the generation of new knowledge in medical sciences, and its translation into benefits to society.

They are Professor James Berkley, Professor Susan Lea, and Professor Philip K. Maini FRS.

This year's elected Fellows, 46 in total, have expertise that spans women’s health, immunology, public health and infectious disease among many other fields.
