Staff and students from across the department gathered on Thursday 19 January for the annual Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) Research Away Day.

The event, held this year at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford, aimed to showcase the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences and its current research activities.

There was a varied programme with talks from guest speakers Gillies McKenna from the Department of Oncology, Constantin Coussios from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Jenny Donovan from West of England Academic Health Science Network, presentations from NDS researchers and a session on the inner workings of NDS.
