Every member of the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) has played a role in making the department an open and inclusive place to learn, to work and to thrive.

Emily Hotine, NDS's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, said: 'The work that we do to enhance equity and diversity in this department would never be possible without all the support and effort it receives from every student and member of staff working here. I would like to take the time to thank everyone on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee for their contributions and their support throughout the process. I also want to express my gratitude to every member of NDS who has completed the staff survey, attended an EDI event, or supported the implementation of our action plan in any way.'
