Martin Carrolchick

Research Information Officer

I support members of the Research Strategy and Funding Team to define and meet our research information needs using information held in university systems such as Symplectic Elements and Business Intelligence (BI) data.

I work closely with the Global Health Facilitator to define and implement metrics to track progress in this increasingly collaborative area of research. This requires novel approaches to reporting across Divisions and developing methods of reporting that will benefit other networks that involve collaborative research across the university.

My role includes keeping up to date with the changing Open Access landscape and monitoring compliance with funders Open Access requirements.

I am on secondment to Medical Sciences from Research Services and work with both teams to ensure we use our information management systems as effectively as possible.

Prior to this role I worked as the REF Systems Officer managing the university’s REF submission exercise in Symplectic Elements to collate information on outputs and Open Access.
