James McBain

Educational Technologist & Senior Academic Administrator, Graduate-Entry Medicine

In my permanent role, I work with colleagues in the Learning Technologies team to support the development and delivery of administration, teaching, and assessment within the Medical School.

I also provide support to colleagues in Graduate-Entry Medicine, with a particular focus on admissions.

Prior to joining the Medical Sciences Division, my background was in the Humanities; as an early career academic, I held a number of research fellowships and lectureships in English within the University. I subsequently pivoted to administration and worked for a number of Oxford colleges before being appointed as Senior Academic Administrator (maternity cover) in Graduate-Entry Medicine in July 2020.
