Research Staff Development Framework
The University has a Code of Practice for the Employment and Career Development of Research Staff, which is underpinned by a set of principles based on the National Concordat.
Principle Three of the Code of Practice covers career development, and states:
Researchers must be equipped and supported to be adaptable and flexible in an increasingly diverse, mobile, global research environment.
This document seeks to draw out the support structures in place in the Medical Sciences Division to ensure that we adhere to this principle. It is structured according to an employee lifecycle for a typical fixed-term, three-year postdoctoral post at Oxford. Please note that the particular details of training and development that you will require will vary depending on your subject focus.
