The Division is seeking to fill 3 open positions on the MSD Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Steering Group. These are:

  • Academic or researcher post
  • Undergraduate student representative
  • Postgraduate student representative

The student roles can be held by two students sharing responsibility.

The MSD EDI Steering Group is a cross-divisional group who are responsible for setting our divisional equality priorities, influencing policies and setting equality objectives to support a range of underrepresented groups across the staff and student body. We would like to particularly encourage applications from staff and students from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, and those from our pre-clinical departments (Biochemistry, Experimental Psychology, DPAG, Pathology and Pharmacology) to fill in some gaps in representation in the existing membership.

The positions are open to staff and students in the relevant roles who have an interest in equality, diversity and inclusion and will report directly to the Divisional Board. We are looking for progressive community minded members who are keen to drive progress and support staff and students from underrepresented groups to thrive in our division. The committee usually meets once a term. Steering Group staff members serve a 3 year term with a review after year 2. Student members will be reviewed annually.

To apply, complete this Expression of Interest form before Friday 30 June.
