This year's Charity Open Access Fund grant has now been spent. This means a change of procedure until the end of the grant year (30 Sept) for Oxford researchers funded by Blood Cancer UK, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Parkinson's UK and Versus Arthritis:

If they have a journal article accepted for publication they will now need to contact their individual charity direct regarding payment of Article Processing Charges (and whether to take the paid 'gold' open access route), instead of applying to our block grant. The Bodleian's APC team are unable to deal with these payments centrally.

There is no change for Wellcome Trust researchers. We have applied for additional funds from Wellcome which should enable Wellcome-funded researchers to continue with the usual block grant application form and procedure (as has happened in previous years).

The COAF page on our OAOxford website is being updated accordingly.

Please note this is about the COAF block grant - not the separate RCUK OA block grant - and so does not affect Medical Research Council or BBSRC researchers
