Make sure you don't share information you weren't intending on spreadsheets.

Data breaches can be caused by sharing spreadsheets which contain personal data in hidden cells, columns, rows and worksheets.

You should only share a spreadsheet if you don’t have any alternatives to sharing the data.  Could you save the data you need to share in a different format? For example, if you save your spreadsheet data as a pdf file you won't be sharing any hidden data that may be on the spreadsheet.

If you have to share data in a spreadsheet save the spreadsheet as a csv file, which will unhide any hidden data (after saving, close your file and open the csv file to check for any hidden data before sharing).

Check your attachment by opening the attachment from the email you are about to send to make sure you are sharing what you are intending.
