Louise Angelou

Head of Development NDWRH and The George Institute UK

As Head of Development, Louise is responsible for leading and implementing the fundraising strategy for the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health, including the George Institute for Global Health, UK. Her focus is on securing major gifts to support the priorities of the Department and building a sustainable philanthropic income stream.

Louise has over ten years’ experience fundraising at a senior strategic level within the university sector, working with academic colleagues, well-connected volunteers and major donors to forge strong philanthropic relationships and create robust pipelines for future income.

Louise is based in the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health but also spends time in the George Institute for Global Health and works closely with the central University of Oxford Development Office.

Previously, Louise was a marketing specialist working for scientific and medical publishers, including Blackwell Publishing, McGraw-Hill and Elsevier Science.
