If you work in the sciences and are aiming for an academic career, this pilot 2-day course will help you think in detail about what you want from an academic career, and about how to start to take control and design your own pathway. The Pathways pilot is open to research staff and DPhil students in their third year and above who self-identify as female. Second years are also welcome to apply and places will be allocated according to availability.

You will:

  • Construct your own definition of career success within academia
  • Working together in groups, undertake a project in between the two workshop days
  • Present the findings and outcomes of the group project on day two, and receive feedback
  • Plan ongoing action

The workshop dates are Monday 30 January and Monday 27 February 2017. Participants will be expected to attend both days in full.
