Supervisors of graduate students across the Division will be aware that in Michaelmas term 2018 the University’s Graduate Supervision System (GSS) will be replaced with Graduate Supervision Reporting (GSR) in eVision. This replacement is required because the vendor is withdrawing support for GSS. This also provides an opportunity to improve our systems in this area. Details are on the GSR project web pages.
Changes to reporting windows
The introduction of a new system also provides the opportunity to implement some adjustments to the reporting process that have previously been approved by the University’s Education Committee. The changes include an amended reporting schedule, and a new reporting window in the Long Vacation (summer), which will be mandatory for research degrees and optional for postgraduate taught degrees. These changes are explained on the changes to GSR reporting windows from MT2018 web page.
