The Medical Sciences Division has been awarded £237,000 from the MRC Proximity to Discovery (P2D) Fund. This block grant aims to support activities that build relationships between the university and industry partners, and promote a culture of innovation. It also aims to promote interaction that may lead to MRC Confidence in Concept applications. Predominantly the scheme supports staff exchanges with industry partners and funds are available to cover travel, subsistence and accommodation costs. However, other engagement activities such as joint training sessions or workshops with industry partners or interactions to co-develop new technologies or novel applications can also be funded.

Applications can be submitted at any time through IRAMS. Just follow the link: To find out more, please contact
