Focus is a broad programme of activity aimed at simplifying the way in which support services are delivered across the University. Sponsored by the Registrar and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Resources & Information Systems), Focus is a three-to-five-year programme designed to simplify processes, improve policies, and move from paper to online systems.

An initial plan of activity has been developed, informed by priorities from the academic divisions and central services, consultation through the Oxford Ideas online platform, discussions with stakeholders, and data from the UniForum project.

This initial phase includes improvements to academic and student-facing services, and starting to move from paper to online processes, such as implementing an e-expenses system. The programme will involve staff across the University in identifying areas for improvement, and designing and implementing more efficient ways of working.
