The Research IT board, chaired by the Pro Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) has highlighted Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) as a priority area for investment next academic year.
ELNs are digital alternatives to paper notebooks - secure online content creation environments that enable you to draw molecules, write equations, upload and link to files and raw data, annotate images, create simple databases, use experimental workflows, and more. Your research records and data will be available to you and your collaborators whenever you have access to the Internet.
Three ELN solutions have been shortlisted - now we need PIs, researchers, lab technicians and research support staff to tell us what you think of the ELN functionality.
To learn more about the project, log in to each ELN, and request a demo by the vendors, please visit: https://sharepoint.nexus.ox.ac.uk/elnevaluation
If you have any questions or would like support contact Howard Noble at researchdata@ox.ac.uk or call 01865 2-73211
* ELN accounts and demos are provided by each vendor for free until end of July 2017
