The Medical Sciences Division and a team based in Computer Sciences are investigating the creation of a new service that would provide researchers with the ability to hire specialist data scientists, statisticians and machine learning experts as and when they are needed (anywhere from a few hours to weeks or even years). If you or your group thinks this would be useful, please let them know by completing this survey.

In addition we are investigating new ways to teach the medical research community at Oxford requisite data analysis skills. These could be in the form of cross-departmental seminars, bespoke workshops delivered by members of the group to members of medical research groups, online resources and regular drop-in surgeries. In delivering and organising these seminar series, we would also hope to create a forum for data scientists across the division to come together to share ideas and best practice.
