25 supervisors are offering 34 DPhil projects for 2024 entry.
The projects cover topics across our six themes: Cardiac Sciences, Cell Physiology, Development & Cell Biology, Functional Genomics, Metabolism & Endocrinology, and Neuroscience.
It may be possible to convert some of these projects into MSc and other projects may also be available. Please contact supervisors directly to enquire.
The application window is open from 4 September 2023 and the main deadline will be Friday 1 December 2023. The Spring 2024 application deadline will be Friday 1 March 2024.
From our Head of Department
At the University of Oxford's Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, we undertake discovery science where we reassemble physiological processes at the molecular, cellular, tissue and systems level of organisation. In so doing we provide a bridge to translational medicine, and interface between physical and life sciences. Our students are the future of our research and so we work to provide them with the opportunities to become the next generation of doctors and biomedical scientists. We are committed not only to research and teaching, but also to supporting our staff and students.
