Lead Research Radiographer, Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging

Mike Sanders smilingI have more than 30 years experience in medical imaging. Before beginning my role as a Lead Research Radiographer, my career has allowed me to enjoy a wide range of different roles. Previously, I have been involved in clinical work in the Neuroradiology Department of the John Radcliffe Hospital and I have also worked in the medical device industry in the manufacture of endovascular aortic stent grafts and for a US imaging core laboratory.

Having always enjoyed teaching and presenting on the many aspects of medical imaging, I relish the opportunity to be involved with events that take science to the public. I particularly enjoy encouraging young people to explore opportunities within the broader definition of science that may not otherwise have occurred to them.
