I work in a pre-clinical department. Can I apply to the Medical Sciences Internal Fund?
Answer Applicants from all departments in the Medical Sciences Division are eligible to apply. However, the Medical Sciences Internal Fund regulations state that the fund is to "promote work in the field of medical research". Please bear this in mind as you frame your application.
-
What type of research qualifies for Medical Sciences Internal Fund funding?
Answer The Medical Sciences Internal Fund supports medical research. -
The start of funding for my next grant has been delayed, can I apply for an extension of bridging funding?

Right place, right time: a closer look at DNA folding
18 June 2017
Your body is made up of trillions of cells, all with the exact same DNA code to make you, you. But all our cells have different jobs – red blood cells deliver oxygen around the body, stomach cells break up your food and heart cells keep you going. So how can the same set of instructions lead to such different roles? And what impact do mistakes in these instructions have on human health? In this blog, Caz Harrold explains the science that underpins our Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition stand.
