Working to strengthen medical research integrity and transparency

My work focuses on research integrity and transparency. I am interested in study design and conduct, data analysis, and research reporting.

I work with prediction models' development and evaluation, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and reporting guidelines for health research. I am also involved with teaching for NDORMS MSc and DPhil courses, and various courses offered by the EQUATOR Network and the Centre for Statistics in Medicine.

I graduated with a BSc in Nutrition from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2003, followed by an MSc (2006) and a PhD (2010) at the same institution, both focused on Epidemiology with a strong component of Statistics.

My background as a researcher also includes collaborations with several universities and research centres, particularly analysing the data from large population-based epidemiological studies to investigate the determinants of chronic diseases.

If you want to get in touch for collaborations, supervision of students, or delivery of talks and courses, please do not hesitate to reach out using any of the contacts on this page.
