Scientist conducting experiments in laboratory

The Diamond studentship offers a generous stipend, tuition fees (at the home rate only), a significant annual research allowance and funds for training and attendance at conferences.  The student in receipt of this funding will have a supervisor based at Diamond Light Source (in addition to a University of Oxford based co-supervisor) and will spend a minimum of 50% of their time at Diamond, which is located on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in South Oxfordshire.  Diamond is a leading edge facility for scientific research, attracting a wide range of scientists from both academia and industry.

Applications from international applicants will be accepted however as only Home fees will be covered, successful applicants would need to either source further funding or support themselves financially for the remaining fees.

Application deadline: Friday 1 December 2023 at midday (UK time).

To be considered for this studentship, please submit an application to the DPhil in Cellular Structural Biology programme.  In the Funding tab, in the Departmental studentship applications section, please enter the unique reference code 24MSDTC01.
