And finally, Professor Gillies McKenna, Director of the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology, is the recipient of the prestigious Breur Award for 2018. The award is named after Professor Klaas Breur, one of the founding fathers of ESTRO. As a tribute to Professor Breur’s pioneering work, ESTRO created an annual 'Gold Medal' award lecture in his name, which was delivered by Professor McKenna at the ESTRO Annual Meeting in Barcelona this month. The Breur Award is the highest honour that can be conferred on an ESTRO member and is awarded in recognition of the major contribution made by the winner to European radiotherapy.

Congratulations to all researchers!
