The British Heart Foundation

The BHF was one of the Charity Open Access Fund (COAF) charities but now operates its own funds for Open Access. There is an APC fund administered at Oxford for this funder.

UK Research and Innovation

The new UKRI Open Access Policy is now in effect and aligns with Plan S principles. The new policy will apply to all UKRI-funded authors on articles submitted after 1 April 2022. As of this date all research councils are subject to the same UKRI-wide open access policy, and MRC and BBSRC funded authors must fulfil additional requirements.

Wellcome Trust

The new Wellcome Trust Open Access policy came into effect on 1 January 2021 and applies to all primary research funded in part or whole by the Trust.

New online resources

Bergey’s Manual of Systematics of Archaea and Bacteria

We are pleased to announce that Oxford University members now have access to the online version of Bergey’s Manual of Systematics of Archaea and Bacteria (BMSAB). This is a microbiology reference work of interest to undergraduates, graduate students and researchers.

Institute of Physics ebooks

The Bodleian Libraries now has access to around 800 Physical Sciences ebooks from the Institute of Physics. Access will run until May 10, 2023 and include new titles as they are published. After this date, titles on reading lists or heavily used will be permanently retained.
