We are recruiting to two vacancies on the John Fell Fund MSD Sub-Committee. This Committee reviews applications from MSD applicants to the John Fell Fund’s termly calls and selects the Division’s priority applications for funding. The Committee is chaired by Deputy Head of Division (Research) Prof Keith Channon.

This is a great career development opportunity for academics who wish to gain experience of central University committees and research funding, and who are interested in learning about the incredible variety of research undertaken across MSD. You will be asked to review around 25 4-page applications per term and in your first few terms you will be invited to attend the 1-hour selection meeting to gain experience of the decision making process. New members will be fully supported in their role by the Committee Chair and Secretary.

Current academic members of staff from any department within MSD are eligible to apply by sending a short CV and brief Expression of Interest (200-500 words describing your field of research and why you are interested in the role) by email to jff@medsci.ox.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 26 March 2021. Candidates will be selected with consideration given to achieving a range of research expertise on the Committee and to the diversity of the Committee. Candidates will be notified of the outcome in time to review applications for the Trinity Term John Fell Fund round in April-May 2021.

If you have any questions please contact the Committee Secretary at jff@medsci.ox.ac.uk.
