Dr Stephen Golding
Dr Stephen Golding is the Course Organiser and a Consultant Radiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He brings a wealth of experience in research and education. He qualified in 1972, and did various surgery jobs until specialising in radiology. He held a senior research fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research, and was appointed in 1982 to initiate a regional CT and MRI service in Oxford. He developed numerous successful courses and research programmes for Honours School and Postgraduate students in CT and MRI; and was appointed as a visiting Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Dr Golding's research interests involve high technology imaging applied to oncology, maxillo-facial and gynaecology applications. He additionally is interested in radiation protection and is a member of the European Community group in Quality Criteria for CT. He regulary speaks at national and international meetings, and is a former president of the British Institute of Radiology.
